WEST BRATTLEBORO-All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church is partnering with Harmony Collective Artist Gallery to present "Welcome to the New Year!" This collaborative exhibit includes the work of 16 local artists who are members of the collective and "celebrates the coming of a new year, with all its possibilities and potential incarnations," according to organizers.
The participating artists are Marie Formichelli, Stu Copans, Melody Squires, Kay Curtis, Julia Sorensen, Larisa Volkavichyute, Kathie Capcara, Cyndi Ferrante, Hone Williams, Jeanne Sutherland, Nancy Ghitman, S. Rose Watson, Tim Thrasher, Kathy Kemp, Joan Lovell, and Ruby Rice.
According Curtis, Harmony Collective's founder and coordinator, the Collective "was formed five years ago to bring together artists and promote the arts in Brattleboro. It includes artists who work in a variety of styles, [...] both abstractly and representationally," in a variety of media. "We are thrilled to bring this dynamic display to the West Village Meeting House to welcome in 2025."
"Welcome to the New Year!" will be on exhibit at All Souls U.U. Church in the West Village Meeting House from Thursday, Jan. 2, through Sunday, March 30. The public is invited to an artists' reception on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. Come meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments.
