• Marjorie Marnie Harrington Fjeld, 79, of Tempe, Ariz. Died Oct. 15 at home. Wife of the late Richard Fjeld. Mother of Carter (Skip) Fjeld and his wife, Linda, of Yakama, Wash.; and Eric (Rick) Fjeld and his wife, Kathy, of Tempe. Sister of William Harrington Jr.; Paul Harrington and his wife, Shirley of Bellows Falls; and Ramon Harrington and his wife, Bonnie of Charlestown, N.H. Born in Bellows Falls, and attended schools in North Westminster and Bellows Falls. Worked at Bell's store in Cambridgeport, Bryant Chuck and Grinding in Springfield and Cote Jewelry Store in Bellows Falls before moving to Arizona in 1964. She retired after many years working at Arizona State University. Memorial information: Internment will be held at a later date at the Windham Cemetary. There will be a memorial service for her at the home of Paul and Shirley Harrington. 15 Tuttle St., Bellows Falls, at 1 p.m. on Oct. 30, followed by a social gathering. • Robert L. “Bob” Heald, 95, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Brattleboro. Died Oct. 12. Father of Patty Heald of Venice. Brother of John Heald of Winter Haven, Fla. Served in the Army during World War II. Was a volunteer driver with Meals on Wheels for 23 years in Venice, Fla. Memorial information: A private service was held in Florida. • Helen G. (Hobie) Kohout, 89, of Dummerston. Died Oct. 13 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon N.H. Wife of Joseph Kohout for 61 years. Mother of Joseph A. Kohout of Walpole, N.H.; Susan Kohout of West Chesterfield, N.H.; Kerry Kohout of Boston; George Kohout of Northampton, Mass.; Margaret Anderson of Williamsville; Michael Kohout of Dummerston; and Barbara Pacelli of Concord N.H. Sister of Margaret (Dolly) Auclair and husband Theodore of Otterburn Park, Quebec. Predeceased by her sister Mary, and two brothers, Michael and John, both pilots for the Royal Canadian Air Force. Born in Montreal, she came to the United States when she was 21 to work at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., during World War II. She later worked for UNICEF in New York after the war, where she met her husband. After taking time off to raise her family, she returned to work as a secretary of Fairfield (Conn.) University for 20 years. Moved to Dummerston in 1985, and served as librarian at the Moore Free Library in Newfane and as president of the Newfane Garden Club. She also taught remedial reading at local elementary schools, and for 16 years volunteered at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Memorial information: A celebration of her life will be held at Newfane Congregational Church on Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.
• Mary “Shirley” (Millerick) Miller, 73, of Scituate, Mass. Died Oct. 16. Wife of the late Donald H. Miller. Mother of Shawn M. Miller and his wife Deborah of Pembroke, Mass.; James A. Miller and his companion, Renee of Scituate; and the late Sheila M. Miller. Sister of William Millerick of New Hampshire and John J. Millerick of Brattleboro. Born in Brattleboro, she moved to Scituate in 1960. Worked as a nurse at the South Shore Hospital for 10 years, before working for the Cardigan Nursing Home in Scituate for more than 20 years. Memorial information: A funeral Mass was held on Oct. 21 at St. Mary of the Nativity in Scituate, with interment on Oct. 22 in St. Michael's Parish Cemetery in Brattleboro. • Marian Agnes Peloso, 75, of Townshend and New Port Richey, Fla. Died Oct. 15 in Florida. Wife of the John L. Peloso. Mother of John E. Peloso and his wife Becky of Townshend; Lee Ann Lawton of Chester; and Toni-Ann Lazar of Townshend. Stepmother of Barbara Garfield and her husband Sam of Townshend; Leslie Randall and her husband Daniel of Jamaica; and Jacqueline Peck and her husband James of Townshend. Predeceased by a brother Dennis Thompson. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and worked for many years at the Carolton Hospital in Fairfield, Conn. Memorial information: A graveside service was held at the Oakwood Cemetery in Townshend on Oct. 21. Donations to a Hospice organization of one's choice.
