WEST BRATTLEBORO — New England Youth Theatre's inclusive Theatre Adventure Thursday Troupe will present radiant style and a passion for performance during their annual fundraising Fashion Show.
Putting On Our Finery will take place Friday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., at the West Village Meeting House, 29 South Street, West Brattleboro.
Original songs written for the troupe by Rich Nethercott will inspire toe tapping, dancing and singing. Rich, who is also a talented guitarist and singer, will be joined by Cathy Martin, an accomplished pianist and singer. Five songs will debut from the forthcoming spring production, Resilient - a production that shines a light on the inner strengths and capacities of each Theatre Adventure actor.
The evening's festivities will include fashions by Lori Angell, master costumer of Theatre Adventure. Stasia Savasuk of Stasia's Style School will describe the fashions that highlight each actor's inner talents and capabilities. Lisa Shippee, owner of Scissor Masters will create hairstyles for the actors. Intermission will include the popular Theatre Adventure Pie Auction. Sue Davis of East Orange will be the auctioneer.
New this year will be a silent auction of a select group of top-of-the-line pies. Silent Auction bidding will take place before the show begins and during intermission. There will also be an array of delectable, free desserts available during intermission.
Putting On Our Finery offers a unique experience, and patrons are encouraged to attend the evening's festivities in their own splashy finery and help support the region's only inclusive theater program now celebrating its 16th year.
