SAXTONS RIVER — Main Street Arts is collaborating with local artists to organize an art exhibit that highlights the area's many creative folks.
The community art show opened Oct. 23 with more than 40 artists displaying their work. It will run until Nov. 19.
“This exhibit is an opportunity for the artist to display his or her work in a beautiful setting, the newly renovated Main Street Arts building, and in an environment that supports the arts,” MSA Director Margo Ghia said in a news release. “We are excited to bring together circles of people in a synergistic way from the community.”
Among the artists exhibiting a variety of media are painters Jeanette Staley, Nancy Lanoue, Iris Morehouse, Kathleen Maynard Giurtino, Amber Paris, and Delia Thompson.
Edward Cooney-Moore has entered some of his unique wood collages into the non-juried show that is open to artists within a 30-mile radius of the community arts center.
