Hello and good day to you, residents of lovely Windham County, Vermont! I hope things are well with you. We've got an abundance of fair weather on the way for the next seven days.
We'll start off on the cooler side with patchy frost potential late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Thereafter, we will slowly begin to warm up such that by late in the weekend we could crest the 80 degree mark.
Humidity will be on the rise as well through Monday. By early next week, we should see a frontal passage bring with it some scattered showers as well as some cooler and more seasonable temps. With our pedestrian weekly weather picture painted, let's jump into the daily details!
For Wednesday, some of us may see some patchy fog to start the day, but that will quickly burn off and reveal yet another mostly sunny day.
It's possible that the western portions of the county could see more of a partly sunny day with a weak disturbance tracking north to south through the region ahead of an incoming punch of much cooler and drier air from Canada, but no showers are expected as of this writing.
Highs will only reach into the low to mid 60s, and lows will drop into the mid to upper 30s, with patchy frost possible for some by Thursday morning.
For Thursday, high pressure will be dominant, and highs will reach the low to mid 60s under mostly sunny skies, with lows in the low to mid 40s under mostly clear skies.
For Friday, high pressure will track east of southern Vermont and begin to produce a more southerly flow of warmer air. We should still see mostly sunny skies with highs in the low to mid 70s and lows in the low to mid 50s under mostly clear skies.
By Saturday, we should see humidity start to tick up, but it should still be comfortable. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s under mostly sunny skies with lows in the mid 50s.
On Sunday, we'll be in late-summer mode with our last full day of summer spent in the mid 70s to low 80s with humidity noticeably higher under mostly sunny skies. Lows should bottom out in the upper 50s.
For early next week, humidity will peak on Monday with highs in the 75-80 degree range as clouds start to build in during the afternoon with the approach of a frontal boundary.
Scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm are expected sometime Monday night into the first half of Tuesday with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s by Tuesday night. Have a great week!
