Good day to you! After a cool and damp first part of May, we are moving into an above-average temperature regime for a brief period of time, followed by seasonable temperatures and weather more in line with this time of year.
For Wednesday, a warm front will be lifting through the region, and pass north of us until late Thursday night when a cold front will sweep through. Until then, we will soar into the mid 80s for high temperatures under mostly sunny skies. However, western parts of the county in the high elevations should remain in the mid to upper 70s for high temperatures. Southwest winds are expected to gust over 20mph at times. On Wednesday night temperatures will drop down into the upper 50s to low 60s under partly cloudy skies.

For Thursday, we will be in a full summer flow for a day! A southwest flow will launch us into the upper 80s for highs under mostly sunny skies. Lows will only sit down into the mid 60s. In addition, dewpoint temperatures will be near 60 degrees, so expect a muggy feel on Thursday.
A cold front will be approaching the region late Thursday night into very early Friday morning and could result in some showers and thunderstorm activity. A couple of parameters will be in place that could produce storms with some strength, so keep an eye to the west if you are out late Thursday night, or in the pre-dawn hours of Friday.
Thereafter, we will see the heat wane, with Friday highs in the mid to upper 70s under mostly sunny skies, with the exception of an early morning shower. Lows Friday night will be in the 40s. Saturday will be a similar day with mostly sunny skies, high pressure, and highs in the lower 70s.
The Sunday to Tuesday period will feature more in the way of scattered showers and thunderstorms thanks to a slow moving cold front that will be winding its way through New England. High temperatures should sit down into the 65-70 degree range during this period.
Have a great week!
