The 2015 Readsboro Arts Festival - an annual gathering of artists, musicians and lovers of both art and music - will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Readsboro Central School. Admission is free.
The festival will feature the creative work of artists and craftspeople, live music and free art-making activities and family fun for children and adults of all ages.
Artists and craftspeople will offer a wide variety of fine art and craft for sale, including painting, prints, pressed flower art, photography, blown glass, wood, baskets and fiber arts.
The Jeanine Marie Quartet will be performing from noon to 3 p.m. The quartet consists of jazz vocalist Jeanine Ouderkirk, guitarist Shaun McCarthy, drummer Darryl Kniffen, and bassist Dylan Perillo, and delievers the Great American Songbook with a sophisticated and contemporary sense of style.
Family fun at the festival will include free activities for children and adults of all ages. Create a sculpture out of recycled materials at the art tent and enjoy hula hooping with Charlene of Serenity Circles.
Soup and sandwiches will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with desserts, snacks, and beverages available at the festival cafe.
