BRATTLEBORO — Strolling of the Heifers has announced several deadlines for parade and entertainment applications and for registrations to exhibit at its Live Green Expo.
The organization is also looking for volunteers who wish to help out during the 10th annual Stroll Weekend, June 3-5.
For organizations wishing to participate in the parade (which takes place on Saturday, June 4, at 10 a.m.), the deadline to apply is May 2. Applications that come in on deadline will be notified of acceptance by May 10; apply earlier for an early invitation.
Vendors and organizations wishing to reserve space during the Live Green Expo on the Commons and Brattleboro Retreat grounds following the parade should apply by April 30. The Expo will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (two hours longer than usual) on June 4.
Farms and youth organizations that plan to stroll their heifers in the parade should register by May 2.
Entertainers are needed during the Gallery Walk on Friday evening, June 3, and during the Live Green Expo. Deadline for entertainment application is April 30.
Vendors may also apply for space on the closed section of Main Street during Gallery Walk, with an April 30 deadline.
Farms and food enterprises wishing to participate in the Farm, Food and Fiber tour (which takes place on Sunday, June 5, but will be continue and be publicized all summer and fall) should register by May 10.
Applications for all of these categories may be made online by visiting the Stroll website, www.strollingoftheheifers.com, and clicking on the Event Registration link in the left navigation bar.
Detailed information about each category may be found on the individual registration pages, along with information on how to contact the category coordinators with any questions.
In addition, there is an option on the site to register as a volunteer for any part of the weekend; volunteers will be contacted after they register to arrange times and places they help out.
