BRATTLEBORO-Palaver Strings presents "Rise and Shine," celebrating the viola.
The concert is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. at the Brattleboro Music Center.
This program explores the sonic possibilities of the viola through 20th-century viola quartets by Kenji Bunch and York Bowen, as well as new folk arrangements by Palaver violists Elizabeth Moore and Lysander Jaffe. They will be joined by special guest violists Sam Kelder and Sergio Muñoz.
