Brattleboro Area Jewish Community presents Chanukah celebration featuring Klezamir

BRATTLEBORO-Brattleboro Area Jewish Community (BAJC) invites everyone to join them to celebrate the festival of Chanukah at the Vermont Jazz Center, 72 Cotton Mill Hill, on Saturday, Dec. 28, from 6 to 9 p.m.

This joyous celebration will feature Klezmer music and dancing with Klezamir, a menorah lighting, a latke contest, crafts, traditional treats and refreshments, and even a juggling workshop with Kinetic Theory Theatre. All are welcome. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

Klezamir, based in western Massachusetts, is a New England Klezmer band. Klezamir plays traditional Jewish favorites as well as pop, rock, classical, and jazz.

BAJC/Congregation Shir Heharim (Song of the Mountains) fosters the Jewish community in the Brattleboro area through Jewish pride and identity as well as religious, spiritual, educational, social, and cultural experiences. They welcome anyone interested in participating and learning.
