BRATTLEBORO-The Brattleboro Women's Chorus (BWC) presents its fall concert, "We Toast the Days," on Nov. 23 and 24, at 4 p.m. at the Brattleboro Music Center. Under the direction of chorus founder Becky Graber and featuring guest songleader Anna Patton, this hour-long performance will showcase the unified voices of over 60 singers celebrating music composed by women.
This fall's concert promises a rich and diverse program, featuring "I Dream of Poppies" and "Little Duck" from Vermont composers Jennifer Jones and Heidi Wilson, alongside "Big Old Life" by Rani Arbo and "Never One Thing" by May Erlewine.
Accompanied by Cathy Martin on piano, with Patton on occasional clarinet, the chorus will celebrate the creativity and contributions of women singers and composers.
"As always, it's a pleasure to work with such a devoted and creative group of women," said Graber in a news release. "It has also been a treat to work together with Anna this fall, both of us leading the group in rehearsals to create this beautiful, celebratory concert. We're ready to welcome the audience in to enjoy the fruits of all of our work and play together."
The Brattleboro Women's Chorus has long been a part of the community, providing a platform for women and, more recently, nonbinary folks, to join together in song. This fall concert continues their singing tradition, inviting audiences to come join them as they feature your family, friends, and neighbors raising their voices in song.
Tickets are on a sliding scale of $15-$30 and can be purchased on their website and at the door as available. For more information, visit BrattleboroWomensChorus.org.
