Election info for Brattleboro voters

BRATTLEBORO-Dear Brattleboro Voter,

You will be receiving an absentee ballot in the mail for the Nov. 5 general election. The state of Vermont will be mailing ballots during the week of Sept. 23. The local justice of the peace ballot will be on the reverse side.

If you have not received your ballot by Oct. 7, please contact our office at 802-251-8157 or [email protected]. Otherwise, please wait for your ballot to arrive.

Once your ballot arrives, make your choices and return it to the Town Clerk's Office as soon as possible.

All ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Nov. 5 to be counted.

There are several ways to return your ballot:

Drop box: Voters, or a friend or family member, may return their ballot - in the signed certificate envelope that will be sent with the ballot - by using the secure drop box in the Municipal Center parking lot. We encourage voters to use this method.

Return by mail: You can also return the ballot in the mail using the prepaid return envelope. Again, be sure the ballot is in the signed certificate envelope.

Vote in person: If you wish to vote at the polls on Election Day - Tuesday, Nov. 5 - we encourage you to bring your unvoted ballot that you received in the mail. Brattleboro polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the American Legion, 32 Linden St.

We are looking forward to a smooth and successful 2024 election, and with your help this can be achieved.

Town of Brattleboro

Brattleboro

Hilary Francis, Town Clerk
