Hospice hosts annual Amazing Hunt on Sept. 28

BRATTLEBORO-On Saturday, Sept. 28, from 12:30 to 4 p.m., Brattleboro Area Hospice will once again host the Hospice Amazing Hunt. The two-hour Hunt will kick off from Plated on Main Street at 1 p.m. Register online at brattleborohospice.org, then check in at 12:30 pm on the day of the Hunt.

A black cat, a cornerstone dated 1867, a record by a local artist ... these are some of the possible search items in this Brattleboro Area Hospice fundraiser. Teams compete to score the most points while navigating downtown Brattleboro, solving clues, having fun, and raising money to support the mission of Hospice.

"The Brattleboro Area Hospice Scavenger Hunt exceeded my expectations 100 times over," a past participant said of the event. "The clues were a nice mix of historical and quirky clues, the frenzied competition between all of the teams made it even more fun. The fact that we were fundraising for one of the most vital and worthwhile organizations in town was the icing on the cake."

The minimum fee to participate is $200 per team, and organizers encourage teams of four. Funds can be raised through sponsorship from friends and family or a team donation. All money raised benefits Brattleboro Area Hospice.

A wrap-up celebration will follow at 3 p.m. with food, a cash bar, and great prizes. Prizes will be awarded in various areas: the three teams with the most points, the individual/s who raised the most money, and so on.
