Twilight On The Tavern Lawn presents The Everly Set on July 21

PUTNEY - Twilight Music continues its 21st Twilight On The Tavern Lawn series of bluegrass, folk/rock, world beat, jazz, pop, and Zydeco summer concerts on Sunday, July 21, with an evening of the hits and harmonies of Phil and Don Everly performed by Sean Altman and Jack Skuller.

The concert begins at 6 p.m. on the Putney Tavern lawn in downtown Putney (bring a lawn chair or blanket) or at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in case of rain.

In 1957, teens Phil and Don Everly recorded "Bye Bye Love" and "Wake Up Little Susie," which influenced The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Hollies, The Eagles, Peter Paul & Mary, and the Bee Gees.

Now, six decades later, two singer-songwriters - who "combine millennial pluck with baby-boomer sass," say organizers - to perform Everly favorites such as "Cathy's Clown," "All I Have To Do Is Dream," and "When Will I Be Loved," as well as many other hits.

Altman and Skuller performed their other tribute show - Forever Simon & Garfunkel - to a sold out house at Next Stage in July 2023.

The concert is free (donations are accepted) and food will be available. For more information, call 802-387-5772 or visit twilightmusic.org.
