Forest of Melody: A celebration of midsummer at BEEC

WEST BRATTLEBORO-As the warmth of summer is upon us, Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center (BEEC) announces "Forest of Melody," a joyous celebration of midsummer. Set among the greenery and landscape at BEEC, organizers say this event promises to be an enchanting experience for all ages.

"Forest of Melody" is a harmonious fusion of music, nature, and community to celebrate the arrival of midsummer in all its splendor. Families and nature enthusiasts alike are invited to attend on Sunday, June 23, at BEEC, 1221 Bonnyvale Rd.

Journeys begin every 20 minutes, from 2:30 to 5:10 p.m. Each tour lasts about an hour and follows a trail through meadow and forest.

Guests will experience a variety of short, live, musical vignettes, as they meander through approximately a half-mile of nature trails. The terrain is hilly; sturdy shoes, bug spray, a blanket, and portable refreshments are recommended. The BEEC Farmhouse has restrooms and a fountain to refill water bottles at the start, or end, of each adventure.

"This event is not only a celebration of music and nature, but also a testament to our commitment to environmental education and conservation," said BEEC Executive Director Michelle Simpson in a news release.

A key fundraiser, this event will help BEEC to continue their important work throughout the year. For BEEC members, admission is $25 for adults, $15 for children. For nonmembers, it's $30 for adults, and $20 for children. Tickets can be purchased at beec.org or at the door on June 23.
