BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Concert Choir welcomes all singers to a free Outdoor Sing under the tent at the Brattleboro Music Center on Saturday, July 30.
The event, set for 10 a.m., will preview portions of the repertoire from the Concert Choir's fall concert cycle, says Music Director Jonathan Harvey. It will be followed by a bring-your-own picnic lunch.
Singers will learn and sing four pieces by Canadian-American Black composer Nathaniel Dett, works that will be featured at the group's January 2023 concerts. They include “Listen to the Lambs,” “O Holy Lord,” “America the Beautiful,” and “Ave Maria.”
Registration is required and open until Wednesday, July 27; contact the BMC at 802-257-4523 or [email protected]. Registered singers will receive digital sheet music and practice materials.
Singers interested in auditioning for the Concert Choir's 2022–23 season should also contact the BMC. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31, with regular Wednesday evening rehearsals beginning Sept. 7.
