• The following local students graduated from the Practical Nursing program in the spring 2021 semester at Vermont Technical College: Jessica Curran of Bellows Falls, Timothy Haineswood of Marlboro, Alexandra Kennedy of East Dover, Breanna Webb of Vernon, and Lisa Ryan of Wilmington.

• Hope Divello of Townshend, who is in the biomedical engineering program, and Nina King of Bellows Falls, who is in the hospitality and tourism management program, were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2021 semester at Rochester (N.Y.) Institute of Technology.

Obituaries

• Colby Paul Boyce, 24, of Brattleboro. Died unexpectedly in Brattleboro on July 8, 2021. Colby was born in Brattleboro on June 15, 1997, the son of Paul E. Boyce, Jr. and Fay M. Craig. He was raised and educated in Brattleboro, attending public schools. He had been employed as a route driver for the Brattleboro Reformer, servicing the Halifax/Jacksonville area. Previously, he worked as a mechanic for Tire Warehouse in West Chesterfield, N.H.. Colby enjoyed living “life in the fast lane,” and loved motorcycle riding, driving fast, and the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Survivors include his companion, Laura Baker, and their son, Orion, of Brattleboro; his mother, Fay Craig of West Brattleboro, his father and stepmother, Paul Boyce, Jr. and Heather Wright of Brattleboro; siblings Marriah Boyce and Eduard Boyce, both of Brattleboro; maternal grandmother Darlene Nebelski of West Brattleboro; paternal grandparents Paul and Barbara Boyce of Vernon; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. • Carol J. Campbell, 68, of Vernon. Died at her home on July 4, 2021. Carol was born on March 25, 1953, the daughter of Robert and Bertha (Welcome) Campbell of Montague Center, Mass. She attended Montague Center School, and graduated from Turners Falls High School in 1971. She then earned her certification as a dental hygienist from McCann Tech in North Adams, Mass. Following graduation, she began her career at Greenfield (Mass.) Dental, where she later became the office manager. She spent the rest of her life working as the office manager in such diverse places as dental practices, ice cream manufacturing, charitable foundations, and a naturopathic practice. She was efficient and organized to the nth degree. Carol loved creating beauty for others to enjoy. Being outside digging in the dirt brought her great joy. She was a former member of the Greenfield Garden Club, and wherever she lived, she planted beautiful gardens. She was a gifted and talented stained glass and mosaic artist. She made beautiful pieces for her family, as well as many church craft fairs. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. The quilts she made for her family will bring comfort for years to come. Carol is survived by her daughter, Melanie Wade, and grandchildren, Zach, Eryn, Wilson and Mya Lewis of Bernardston, Mass., and Jack and Emma Barnes of Arizona. She is also survived by her partner and husband, David Mongillo, of Vernon; sibings Debra Campbell Collins of Brattleboro, Diane (Alan) Kurkulonis of South Deerfield, Mass., Karen (Jerry) Kelley of Gill, Mass., and Thomas (Barbara) of Northfield, Mass. She was predeceased by her son, Joshua Barnes, in 2006. Memorial information: A funeral service will take place on July 22, at 10 a.m., at the Episcopal Church of Saints James and Andrew in Greenfield. Burial will follow in South Cemetery in Leyden, Mass. • Linda (Smith) Dierks, 70, of Brattleboro and Desert Hot Springs, Calif. Died in Brattleboro on July 10, 2021. A community leader, author, and spiritual leader, she was born on April 22, 1951, a fifth-generation Vermont native. A former executive director of the Brattleboro Area Chamber of Commerce, Linda was also a mental health mentor and a pioneer in what she called “self-empowered joy and wellness.” Her first book was Quiet Mind: Natural Freedom from Depression and Anxiety. She was also the writer and host of “Welcome to My Porch” vlog, host of the“ Step Into Your Power” radio series, and producer of “Quiet Mind Seeds” on Facebook and Instagram. • Elizabeth Brooks “Libby” (Carpenter) Kunz, 74, formerly of Guilford. Died July 2, 2021 at McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, from complications of a brain tumor. Libby was born on Oct. 19, 1946 in New London, Conn., and grew up on the shores of Connecticut where she enjoyed many ocean adventures with her parents, siblings and cousins leading to a lifelong love and appreciation for water and sun. She attended Vermont College where she met her husband, William “Bill” Kunz, who was a student at Norwich University. After living in several different places across the country, Bill and Libby settled in Brattleboro and then Guilford, Vermont. They built a house on Sugarhouse Hill where they lived for more tham 40 years. Libby worked a variety of office jobs, as an early childhood educator and also served as a volunteer for many community efforts in the Brattleboro area while raising her children, David and Sarah. In 2016, after Libby's brain tumor diagnosis, Bill and Libby relocated to Colchester to be closer to family. She leaves behind her devoted husband, who provided constant, compassionate and loving care to Libby over the course of her illness; a son, David Kunz, and his wife, Ebony, of Guys Mills, Pa; and a daughter, Sarah Robinson and her husband, Colin, of Burlington; grandchildren Treelyn and Jakob Kunz, and Hazel and Cora Robinson of Burlington; a sister, Linda Mahoney, and brother-in-law Brian Mahoney of Grand Junction, Colo., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Richard Carpenter. The family has many precious memories of Libby, including bike rides along the Green River, fun times with her grandchildren, and many years of wonderful times together at the family cottage on Keuka Lake. Libby was incredibly gullible and also had an excellent talent for laughing at herself. This remained with her throughout the last several challenging years of her illness. Up until the final days of her life, she was able to find a chuckle - often at her own expense. As a tribute to Libby, don't be afraid to laugh at yourself. • Pastor Walter Kenmore Momaney Jr., 65, of Brattleboro Died July 10, 2021. He was born in Brattleboro on Nov. 14, 1955, the son of the late Walter Momaney Sr. and Marilyn (Castine) Momaney. He attended Esteyville and Oak Grove schools and was a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School, Class of 1973. After his high school graduation, he began painting for his dad at Walt Momaney Painting, which then became Walt Momaney & Son. Following his father's retirement, it became Walter Momaney Painting. In 1993, he began his walk with the Lord, which forever changed his life and the lives of those who knew him. In 2001, Walter was ordained as a Pastor. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a warrior for Jesus. He touched many lives, and he helped lead many people to the Lord. This was one of the greatest joys of his life. The greatest desire of his heart was for his family and friends to give their lives to the Lord so that they could know the love the Lord has for them as Pastor Walter did. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and fishing as well just spending time in the woods communing with God. For many years he enjoyed raising pigeons; Modenas and Homers were his favorites. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Shatney) Momaney, to whom he married in 1995; his children, Penelope Momaney, Rebbecca Castillo and her husband Mark, Louis Gilbeau, Sara Scott and her husband Jon, and Justin Gilbeau and his wife, Liz; and nine grandchildren. He also leaves his mother; sisters Debra Powers and her husband Stanley, Dawn Sheldrick and her husband Howard, Tammi Quinn and her husband Bevan, several aunts and uncles that include his special aunt, Dorothy Momaney; as well as many sisters- and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. • Janet White Moyse, 87, of Montpelier, formerly of Brattleboro. Died July 7, 2021 at her home, with her family by her side. She was born on Sept. 24, 1933 in Westport, Conn., and graduated from Brattleboro High School, Class of 1951. She was known for her congeniality, her love of cooking and entertaining, her love of life, her artistry, and her avid gardening skills. Janet also traveled the world with her husband Louis J. Moyse and managed his music affairs. During the last 14 years of her life, she was one of a special group of Montpelier women known as the “Wonderful Walking Women.”Janet will be remembered for her fiery spirit and great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by those whom she touched throughout her life. She is survived by her sister Sharon Reynolds, daughters Pamela Allen, Melody Allen and Heather Allen Edenhofer, son Blane Allen, four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; her parents Jennie and Arthur White Jr.; brothers Arthur, Bruce, and Wayne White; and sister Diane Bensusan. • Eileen Margaret (Moore) Ranslow, 78, of Marlboro and Palm City, Fla. Died June 30, 2021, at her Florida home. Born in Hempstead, N.Y., to James A. Moore and Gertrude Fryer on Aug. 4, 1942, she grew up in Valley Stream, N.Y. She was a precocious athlete. She was the first girl to play in the local baseball league, and developed a passion for skiing early on. She spent many weekends as a young woman at Mount Snow in southern Vermont, fell in love with the Deerfield Valley, and moved to the area in 1965 to work as a manager at The White House in Wilmington. In 1970, Eileen married John “Joe” Ranslow and together they raised their five children in Jacksonville, where they maintained a home. Eileen's parents also relocated to the area after retirement. Eileen and Joe's lives were filled with family and friends gathering often. Eileen and Joe were hard workers. They owned and operated the Wilmington Home Center for many years. Between their personal and professional lives, they took an active role in the Wilmington-Whitingham communities. Eileen served on local business boards and was at whatever recreational activities their children were involved in. Not being one to sit on the sidelines, Eileen took active roles in many organizations over the years. She served proudly on the Whitingham School Board for many years. She chaperoned many school trips and went on many vacations with a growing family, often bringing a few extras along. Eileen was very passionate about the game of golf, playing alongside her Dad into his nineties. She was most proud of her multiple Club Championship wins at Haystack and Brattleboro country clubs. In later years. she thoroughly enjoyed year-round golf and played many courses throughout New England and the U.S., as well as in Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, and Australia. She traveled through Europe and Asia. Without a doubt, Eileen's favorite place on this planet was the Haystack Golf Club where she and Elizabeth Walker recently donated a 50-foot flagpole and where she earned the affectionate title of “Mrs. Haystack.” She served multiple terms on the Vermont State Women's Golf Association Board and played in several statewide championships. For many years she was on the Vermont Tri-State Team competing each June against Maine and New Hampshire. Those who spent time with Eileen knew her for her wonderful laugh and trademark whistle. Her habit of whistling announced her arrival and put a smile on everyone's faces. Every room was happier and more loving because Eileen was in it. She leaves her dear friend and favorite golf partner, Elizabeth Walker of Marlboro, sons Cameron Ranslow and David Ranslow of Jacksonville, daughters Joanne Main of Bennington and Karen Shipp of California, her brother John Moore of New York City, eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter Bethany Sprague, and her sisters Catherine Jean Gropper and Janet Ann Moore. Memorial information: A gathering of remembrance will take place at the Haystack Golf Club in Wilmington on July 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at Kings Cemetery in Marlboro at the convenience of the family. • Florence A. Robertson, 87, of Brattleboro. Died July 9, 2021 at Pine Heights nursing home, following a period of declining health. She was born on Sept. 29, 1933, the daughter of the late Emil Henning Anderson and Lilla May (Marden) Anderson. She attended Green Street School and graduated from Brattleboro High School in 1951. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Stephen Robertson, whom she married in 1957, a brother, Carl Anderson, and a sister, Hazel Anderson. She leaves two sons, James Robertson of Glastonbury, Conn., and David (Anne) Egan-Robertson of Madison, Wisc., four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Following high school, Mrs. Robertson was a bookkeeper for Dunham Shoe Company before leaving the workforce to raise her two sons. Later, she managed financial records for her husband's Elliot Street store, Wagner's Shoes, and worked in the office of Fisher Oil. For many years, she sang in the choirs of All Souls Unitarian Universalist and Centre Congregational churches. Following retirement, Donald and Florence spent parts of several summers in Scotland, touring the countryside and visiting relatives. In addition, Florence volunteered in the BMH coffee shop. • Lorraine Gracia Rosmarino, 73, of Brattleboro. Died peacefully July 1, 2021, with her children by her side, at Thompson House after period of ill health. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Mildred (Rouillard) Momaney. She loved bowling, playing bingo, Yahtzee, and card games with family and friends. A former owner of the Riverview Diner in Brattleboro, she enjoyed cooking for all her family and friends and for special occasions. Her family will all miss her mac and cheese and beef jerky the most. She was a member of the Eagles and donated to many good causes. She was predeceased by brother-in-law Francis (Sonny) Lenois and her nephew Jesse Hamilton. She is survived by her children Scott (Catherine) of Guilford and Rose (Leslie Gundry) of Hinsdale, N.H.; brothers Robert (Diane) Momaney of Middletown, Calif., Ronald (Jan) Momaney of Denver, N.C.; and Raymond (Debbie) Momaney of Kaulua, Hawaii; sisters Louise Lenois of Guilford and Linda (Dean) Hamilton of West Brattleboro; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and 20 nieces and nephews. Memorial information: A celebration of her life was held July 17 in Guilford. Donations to Wounded Warrior Project or Paralyzed Veterans of America.

• Judith “Judy' Stanclift, 88, formerly of Hinsdale, N.H., and a longtime resident of Keene, N.H. Died July 4, 2021 at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, N.H., following a period of declining health. Judy was born in Keene on July 2, 1933, the daughter of Charles and Edna (Knott) Nye. She was raised and educated in Keene, graduating from Keene High School, Class of 1951. She worked at several nursing homes in Keene, including 151 Court Street and 180 Court Street (both operated by the Lund family), and at Genesis Healthcare Center, which she retired from in 1996. Judy was known for her strong work ethic and her excellent cooking. Many will remember her pleasant personality and smile. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Brattleboro. In 1968, she married Ronald Eugene Stanclift. Her devoted husband of 50 years predeceased her in 2019. Survivors include one half-brother, Henry Skerry of Northampton, Mass., nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a twin brother, Gerald Nye. Memorial information: A funeral Mass was held July 19 at St. Michaels' Romas Catholic Church, with committal rites and burial in St. Michaels' Parish Cemetery. A celebration of life for William Burton “Bill” Jenna Sr. will be held Saturday, July 24, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Fahner Athletic Fields at Kurn Hattin Homes for Children, 751 Kurn Hattin Rd., Westminster. Mr. Jenna, of Guilford, died at home on May 21, 2021.

A celebration of life for Cynthia Jane (McKay) Clough will be held Saturday, July 24, at 11 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, 18 Town Crier Drive, Brattleboro. Ms. Clough, 81, of Hinsdale, N.H., died on Oct. 12, 2020.
