Coyotes are subject of online talk
LONDONDERRY - On Thursday, March 18, at 7 p.m. the Conservation Commission will host a virtual event featuring Chris Schadler of Project Coyote.
The presentation, “What's Up With Those Wily Coyotes?,” will also include a discussion.

Panel to discuss effects of pandemic
PUTNEY - The spring 2021 Landmark College Academic Speaker Series continues on Tuesday, March 23 at 7 p.m. with a free online panel discussion, “Dying and Death in the Age of COVID-19.”
Landmark College Assistant Professor of Communications Gyuri Kepes will be joined by three fellow scholars who are collaborating on the forthcoming book A Plague for Our Time: Death and Dying in the Age of Covid-19.
Kepes will present “'Help Me, I Can't Breathe': Black Lives Matter, COVID-19, and the Mortal Economy.”

• M.F. Alvarez, who will present “'The Cure Can't Be Worse than the Disease:' Resignifying a Meme in an Online Suicide Forum”;

Evening Star Grange offers senior lunch
DUMMERSTON - Evening Star Grange and Senior Solutions will present their takeout-only senior lunch on Wednesday, March 24, with pickup between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Reservations are requested by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23 to guarantee your meal. Call the Grange at 802-254-1138 and leave your name, telephone number, the number of meals you wish to pick up. Please indicate if it should be a vegetarian option.
On the menu is meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, scalloped onions, and buttered green beans, with pineapple upside-down cake. A vegetarian “meat”-loaf and a meat-free gravy will also be available.
A donation of $4 ($3 for those age 60 and older) is suggested. This meal is open to everyone. Please wear your mask and practice social distancing when picking up your meal.
RFPL presents Peeps Literary Diorama contest
BELLOWS FALLS - The Rockingham Free Public Library presents its first-ever Peeps Literary Diorama contest. Young and old alike are invited to create dioramas made of the seasonal marshmallow candies shaped as birds and animals.
Entries will be submitted virtually through social media or email, and voting will be conducted online.
Participants can enter the contest by submitting photographs of their diorama, along with their name, diorama title, and age category to the library through Facebook Messenger at facebook.com/RockinghamLibrary, or by email to [email protected].
Submissions are being accepted from Friday, March 19 to Friday, April 2. Several awards will be given, including Best Diorama for each age bracket (kid, teen, and adult), Best Title, The Peeple's Choice, and more.
The public can vote for the Peeple's Choice award winner by visiting the library's Facebook page between April 5 and 10, and liking their favorite entry in the Peeps Literary Diorama Contest 2021 photo album.
Alternately, voters can send the name of their favorite diorama to the library email.
Contest winners in all the categories will be announced Monday, April 12.
