Bos-Lun: brings her whole self to whatever she does

PUTNEY — I've known Michelle Bos-Lun for 20 years. We taught together at The Meeting School, a Quaker School in New Hampshire. Later, I worked for her at Youth Services in Brattleboro on the Ready to Achieve Mentoring Program (RAMP). We have also served together on the board of the Lyman Fund, a small Quaker foundation.

Michelle is one of those people who brings her whole self to whatever she does. She's passionate about human rights and social justice, worldwide, locally, and everywhere in between. She's also a very good listener, a creative problem solver and not afraid to ask tough questions.

All the time I have known her, she has been a powerful advocate for underserved people: youth, low income, people with mental illness, people of color, immigrants, incarcerated and formerly incarcerated. Michelle has worked tirelessly for them and not only has provided assistance but has also encouraged them to be their own best advocates for themselves.

Perhaps the best quality Michelle brings to all she does is her great ability to collaborate. She's very much a team player bringing her energy, humor, and good thinking to every situation.

I'm very excited that Michelle is running to be our representative in Montpelier. She and Rep. Mike Mrowicki will be a wonderful team, representing us all.
