BELLOWS FALLS — The Heather Pierson Acoustic Trio show at Stage 33 Live got snowed out in November, but they're coming back Jan. 19 for a special 2 p.m. matinee performance.
In 2015, the trio released an EP, Still She Will Fly, and the title track was that year's No. 2 single on folk radio. Their 2017 CD, Singin', debuted at No. 1 and was the No. 11 album of the year on the folk charts. Heather's new solo album, Lines and Spaces, came out in November and is her 12th CD release.
The trio will bring their “traveling music store” of instruments - piano, acoustic guitar, tenor banjo, ukulele, melodica, cornet, dobro, fiddle, mandolin, bass, and maybe more - to Stage 33 Live.
Emily Lyons will open with Josh Maiocco.
The trio's performances feature Heather's multi-genre songwriting, evoking spaces from the streets of New Orleans to the valleys of Appalachia. The heartfelt music features three-part vocals, with Shawn Nadeau on upright bass and Davy Sturtevant on “everything else."
Doors open at 1 p.m., and music starts at 2 p.m. At Heather's request, tickets are just $10 in advance and at the door. As always, 100 percent of ticket sales supports the musicians. Coffee, soda, water, and snacks are by donation. Seating is limited; for advance tickets, go to stage33live.com.
