Wardsboro Curtain Call to present ‘Christmas in the Land of Oz’

WARDSBORO — Characters from The Wizard of Oz will take the stage Sunday, Dec. 15, as Wardsboro Curtain Call presents their third annual holiday show, Christmas in the Land of Oz.

Back in Kansas, with Christmas only a few days away, Dorothy sees her Auntie Em and Uncle Henry losing heart. However, Dorothy knows the place to replace a lost heart: the Land of Oz.

But there's trouble in Oz as well. Can Dorothy and Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion deal with the Wicked Witch of the Northwest and the mischievous Flying Monkeys to save Christmas?

Christmas in the Land of Oz is a staged reading featuring Jenn Finaldi as Dorothy, Donna Fernandes as Toto, Rachel Meeks as Scarecrow, Mark Fernandes as Tin Man, Dick Fay as Lion, Lise Fortin as the Wicked Witch and many more of our neighbors playing the unforgettable characters of Oz, including the Munchkins and Flying Monkeys.

The show begins at 2 p.m. at Wardsboro Town Hall. Admission is free, and there will be cookies and cocoa to enjoy with the cast and crew after the show.
