BRATTLEBORO — A music and movement program for young children from birth to age 6, Music Together for Monadnock Families, has expanded to Brattleboro. Classes will start this fall at the New England Youth Theatre.
They will be held on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m., and the 10-week fall session will start on Sept. 12. Music Together classes are 45-minutes and include singing, movement, and instrument-playing activities for children and adults together in a relaxed, playful atmosphere.
Every family takes home a CD and a songbook with all the music of the session and has access to an engaging and interactive companion website.
Music Together instructor Nancy Salwen said in a news release that she is “really excited” to expand into Brattleboro and partner with NEYT.
“This class will allow younger children to become familiar with NEYT while experiencing music-making in the way that works best for young kids - through playful immersion along with their parents or caregivers. I've taught Music Together classes in Keene and Peterborough for 13 years and I know that the Brattleboro community will love it too.”
Music Together for Monadnock Families is part of the internationally-recognized and research-based early childhood music program, Music Together, developed in Princeton, N.J., in 1987 on the principle that all children have musical abilities that can be nurtured in a stimulating and supportive environment.
