Applications sought for FY20 human services funding
BRATTLEBORO — BRATTLEBORO - The Representative Town Meeting Human Services Review Committee is accepting applications for Human Services Funding for fiscal year 2020.
The application, as well as instructions and guidelines, will be posted on Brattleboro's town website.
The deadline to submit applications to the Brattleboro Town Manager's Office is Monday, Nov. 5, at noon.
The information session regarding human services funding is scheduled on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 5 p.m., in the Selectboard Meeting Room (Suite 212) at the Municipal Center. Applicants are encouraged to attend.

Town gets grant for disc golf upgrade
BRATTLEBORO - The disc golf course at Living Memorial Park will get some improvements, courtesy of a $6,800 grant the town received from the Vermont Department of Buildings and General Services.
At the Oct. 2 regular Selectboard meeting, the board unanimously voted to accept and appropriate the grant.
“This is really cool, and I'm glad we're doing it,” said Selectboard member David Schoales.
Town seeks to fill vacancies on boards
BRATTLEBORO - The town is looking for citizens to serve on a number of committees and boards.
The list includes Agricultural Advisory Board, ADA Advisory Committee, Arts Committee, Citizen Police Communications Committee, Conservation Commission, Design Review Committee (alternate), Development Review Board (alternate), Energy Committee (two- and three-year seats), Energy Coordinator, Inspector of Lumber, Shingles and Wood, Senior Solutions Advisory Council, and Weigher of Coal.
