Good day to you, southern Vermonters! After another substantial (and in some cases, major) snowfall for Windham County on Tuesday, we've got even more light to perhaps moderate accumulations planned for Wednesday - the fun never stops!
There is no question that winter continues to roll on this March in Windham County, with cooler temperatures along with a pattern favorable for winter storms remaining on the table for the region through the end of the month.
With that tremendously amazing news out of the way, let's jump into the daily details!
For Wednesday, our upper level low pressure system responsible for linking up with an ocean storm and producing accumulating snow will drift east through the region. With plenty of lower-level moisture remaining, we will see the potential for upslope snowfall to develop in snow showery fashion.
This will produce additional light to perhaps moderate snowfall for our region, with another 1 to 4 inches possible by Thursday night. Highs on Wednesday will be in the low to mid 30s with a light to moderate west wind, and lows will drop in the mid 20s as scattered snow showers continue.
For Thursday, additional scattered snow showers are expected, but should be on the wane by Thursday night. The highest accumulations from the Wednesday and Thursday upper level system will generally be over west-facing slopes. Highs will be in the mid 30s and lows in the low 20s. Both days will be mostly cloudy.
For Friday, a cold front moves through the region, producing mostly cloudy skies and highs near 30 degrees and lows only in the teens!
Saturday through Monday will feature partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens and 20s with fair weather.
Stay tuned, though, because yet another snowy Nor'easter is possible by Tuesday into Wednesday. Have a great week!
