Auditors' Reports now available
BRATTLEBORO - The Brattleboro Town and Town School District Auditors' Reports for fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, are available upon request and may be picked up at the Brattleboro Town Clerk's office, 230 Main St.
The Auditors' Reports will also be available as part of the Town and School District Annual Report, which will be available at the Town Clerk's office no later than Feb. 23.
Based on a vote at the 2010 Representative Town Meeting, the town will no longer mail the Auditors' Reports to all voters of the Town. Therefore, persons interested in obtaining a copy should contact the Brattleboro Town Clerk at 802-251-8157. Copies are available on the website or for pick up, or may be transmitted electronically, or sent by first-class mail.
Grace Cottage holds annual online auction
TOWNSHEND - Would you like a massage? A trip to Mexico? An evening at the theater? Your name in Archer Mayor's next book?
From 6 a.m. on Feb. 14 until 9 p.m. on Feb. 28, these items and many more are available for bidding through the Grace Cottage's annual “Cabin Fever” Online Auction. An array of more than 70 items has been donated by local businesses and individuals, with all proceeds benefiting the Grace Cottage Patient Care Fund.
Auction item values start at $20 and include gift certificates to favorite local restaurants, practical items like an oil change for your car, ski passes, rounds of golf, fudge, a sailing trip, pottery, tickets to the Masters Golf Tournament, and more.

BMH offers free Juggling for Health series
BRATTLEBORO - Brattleboro Memorial Hospital will offer a Juggling for Health series, free to the community.
No longer just an entertainment act at the circus, juggling provides a variety of health benefits, including increased upper body strength, hand-eye coordination, improved concentration, and decreased mental stress.
The classes run on Wednesdays through April 25, from noon to 12:30 p.m., in the Exercise Room at BMH.

'Sit and knit' at Londonderry library
SOUTH LONDONDERRY - World traveler Carol Barclay is back, so stop by the South Londonderry Free Library any Wednesday between 7 and 9 p.m. to sit and knit with Carol or, as the Brits would say, “knit and natter.”
Barclay is an extremely patient instructor and is always creating a beautiful, intricate something out of yarn.
The library is located on 15 Old School Street in South Londonderry and, if you don't feel like knitting, stop by and pick up a good book. Senior meal in Halifax
HALIFAX - The monthly Halifax senior meal takes place on Friday, Feb. 16, at noon, at the community hall at 20 Brook Road in West Halifax.

BF Rotary serves spaghetti dinner
BELLOWS FALLS - On Saturday, Feb. 17, the Bellows Falls Rotary Club hosts its annual Spaghetti Dinner, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Bellows Falls Moose Club, 59 Westminster St.
As always, the food is freshly prepared and served by Rotary members. On the menu is homemade spaghetti sauce and homemade meatballs, freshly made crisp salad with a balsamic maple dressing, bread, dessert, and beverage. Vegetarian sauce is also available.
Tickets for adults are $8, children $5, and kids under 5 are free. Takeout is also available. Tickets will be sold at the door or ask a Rotarian. There will also be a signup sheet for delivery of a dinner to the Canal House and Riverview apartments.

Community Hope and Action presents February dinner concert
TOWNSHEND - On Saturday, Feb. 17, from 5-8 pm. Community Hope & Action of Townshend will host a free community supper and dance.
This month's event will have a Mardi Gras theme - beads and masks will be available that night! The band, Bayou X, will play Zydeco and Cajun music and teach Zydeco dance lessons.
The dinner, cooked by the Community Hope & Action team, will be from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Townshend Town Hall; bring a side dish or dessert to share. Music and dancing will follow upstairs from 6 to 8 p.m. This event is substance-free and is open to people of all ages, from all towns. Candidates night is Feb. 22 in Guilford
GUILFORD - Broad Brook Grange will hold its annual Pre-Town Meeting on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. at the Broad Brook Community Center - formerly known as The Grange.
This is the only opportunity for voters to hear details of the articles that will be presented at the Town and School District Meetings, and to meet and discuss issues with the selectboard and school board all in one evening, in advance of Town Meeting.
In addition, candidates for town and school board offices are urged to attend to introduce themselves to the voters. State law prevents any “campaigning” by candidates at Town Meeting, when an Australian ballot is used, as in this instance. So this is the only time before the vote for the public to meet and hear the candidates all at once.
Those interested in declaring as write-in candidates should take this sole opportunity to appear before a group of voters.
Town Meeting itself will be held, as usual, on the first Tuesday of March, which this year is March 6, commencing at 10 a.m., in the gym of the Central School.
Broad Brook Community Center is at 3940 Guilford Center Rd., 4 miles west of the Country Store. Refreshments will conclude the evening.
Vendors sought for Jamaica Spring Art Event
JAMAICA - If you are an artisan who makes unique art, crafts, jewelry, food, or gifts, the organizers of the second annual Spring Art Event want to talk with you.
The Art Event takes place on Sunday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the historic Jamaica Town Hall on Route 30. Outdoor ($30) and indoor ($45) vendor spaces are available. This juried show is sponsored by the Jamaica Arts Council.
