NEWFANE — “Sharon & Daniel” will perform in the Tavern at the Four Columns Inn on Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
With playful harmonies, acoustic guitars, percussion, and upright bass, Sharon Leslie and Daniel Kasnitz perform acoustic versions of popular hits with a funky, jazzy twist.
From classic standards to captivatingly re-worked Top 40 to seasonal favorites, the duo explores experiences of joy, love, fun, and community as expressed through popular song.
“We present songs that draw us together to have fun and celebrate the music we love,” Leslie said in a news release.
“We focus on songs that have captured our collective imagination and are a beloved part of our cultural bedrock.” added Kasnitz.
The duo have performed around the Brattleboro area to rave reviews.
“Their love for the songs shines so very bright,” said Brooks Memorial Library Director Starr Latronica, after Sharon & Daniel's performance at the library's 50th anniversary party in September.
“They are amazing!” said Strolling of the Heifers creator Orly Munzing about their recent concert at the Robert H. Gibson River Garden.
Leslie plays a variety of hand percussion and acoustic guitar. Kasnitz performs on upright and electric bass, acoustic guitar, and piano. Both artists sing.
The Four Columns Inn is a historic inn and tavern on 138 acres in Newfane Village, and a longtime Southern Vermont landmark.
