BRATTLEBORO — We at the Vermont Theatre Company thank the greater Brattleboro community for its support of our first production of the 2017–2018 season, Adam Bock's The Receptionist. The Hooker-Dunham Theater on Main Street provided the perfect space to tell the story of the staff at the Northeast Office, a seemingly normal office with a dark secret.
Special thanks goes to the cast and crew, who gave up their free time to learn their lines and blocking and to bring this play and its characters to life for audiences. The ensemble cast, directed by William Wieliczka, which included Adrienne Major, Gaia Posner, Michael Sola, and Andrew LaPenta, deserve commendation. Also, thanks to the set builder, Cameron Cobane, and the stage manager, Kate Maisner, who worked hard behind the scenes to keep the show running smoothly.
We would also like to thank the Brattleboro media community for their support of this amazing production.
Lastly, we would like to thank the audience members who came out to support this inspiring work, and those whose word-of-mouth endorsements led others to do the same.
We appreciate your patronage and look forward to seeing you at our future productions, including the fourth annual performance of A Christmas Carol at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center; The Road to Mecca, also at the Hooker Dunham Theater in March; The Last Five Years this spring at the Evening Star Grange in Dummerston; and our annual Shakespeare in the Park production of The Tempest this summer.
