New trash hauler to begin July 1

BRATTLEBORO — A new trash contractor will pick up trash and recycling, with no change to the routes or to the days town households are currently served, according to a press release issued from the office of Town Manager Barbara Sondag.

Beginning Wednesday, July 1, Triple T will provide the trash and recycle pickup for residents, taking over duties from Waste Management.

"While we expect no interruption of service, the time of individual collection may be different from current service time," the press release notes. "That is, if your trash is picked up currently at 7:30 a.m., pick-up may occur earlier or later than that time. Same day - different time."

Residents should have trash on the curb by 6 a.m. to ensure trash is picked up. Per town ordinance, the town provides trash pickup to single family dwellings and dwellings with up to four units.

The town asks for citizens' patience as the drivers become familiar with the routes over the next several weeks.

Anyone experiencing problems should call Triple T at 254-5388 or the Town Offices at 251-8103. Anyone with other questions should call 251-8100.
