BRATTLEBORO — The New England Center for Circus Arts has announced that Jeffrey M. Lewis has donated a collection of 20 framed black-and-white photographs of the Center's graduates and students in action.
The photos will be for sale at an exhibit from April 7 through June 6 at Vermont Artisan Designs on Main Street. Proceeds will benefit the Center's new building fund.
This year NECCA will move into its own “trapezium building” in Brattleboro. The Center plans to be in the new building by July 2017. The custom-designed circus-arts trapezium will allow year-round, indoor flying-trapeze training, as well as fabric/silk, juggling, contortion, unicycle, partner acrobatics, German wheel, teeterboard and more.
Lewis, who has been honing his photography skills for 45 years, has been photographing NECCA performers and performances for the past five years. He has also photographed Southern Vermont Dance Festivals, SOBO Studio, and African dance in Brattleboro.
