Whether it's morning, noon, or night when you read these words, I hope you're having a good moment or two. Sometimes that's all we need to make a good day for ourselves.
As far as the weather is concerned, we've got no shortage of sunshine on the way to southern Vermont. We've also got a couple of showery periods possible, and at least another frosty morning on the way for early this weekend.
For Wednesday, high pressure that built in overhead will be moving off to the south and east. This will allow for a southwesterly flow to develop, and warm us into the middle 60s for highs. Some humidity will be building in as well, and this will raise dewpoint temperatures early Thursday morning into the low 50s. As air temperatures simultaneously fall into the 40s, these two inversely trending variables will meet, marry, and make some patchy morning fog.
For Thursday, clouds will be on the increase, as a cold front pushes east out of the Midwest and brings some scattered showers to our region, mainly in the afternoon and evening. A morning shower, however, cannot be ruled out. Expect highs to peak in the upper 60s in valley locations, and middle 60s in the mountains. Lows dip into the low 40s in the valley and upper 30s in the hills.
For Friday and Saturday, another shot of cool, seasonable autumn air sets up residence in Windham County. Winds could be gusty on Friday, as sunshine paints the land across the county. We'll remain in the 50s for highs on both Friday and Saturday, with lows in the upper 20s to middle 30s, depending on your location.
As we roll into the Sunday-to-Tuesday time frame, it appears that we'll have sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures reaching into the low 60s, with even more warming well into the 60s into early next week. However, there is a chance for another cold front to swing through with more scattered showers possible by Monday or Tuesday.
Have a great week!
