BELLOWS FALLS — Parks Place Community Resource Center recently received a three-year grant of $75,000 from The Fanny Holt Ames and Edna Louise Holt Fund for operating expenses.
According to a news release, this grant will be used to support the core mission of Parks Place Community Resource Center, which is to open doors to opportunities by connecting people and resources in the Greater Falls Community.
The Holt Fund was established to meet the medical needs of the Grafton community and its surrounding towns. To date, the fund has invested more than $11.9 million in programs to improve community health. During the past 16 years, the fund has provided Parks Place with critically needed support.
Parks Place helps individuals and families create better lives through its network of social service agencies. Thirty-five regular programs addressing the health, education, and human service needs of families in the Greater Falls Region are offered at Parks Place, programs that would otherwise be available only in Springfield and Brattleboro.
