TOWNSHEND — The Windham Hill Inn has started the Get Back to the Garden music series: four Thursdays of live music, food, and drink from 6 to 8 p.m. at the inn, 311 Lawrence Drive, off Windham Hill Road in West Townshend.
The first concert, Sept. 22, features the Sunny Lowdown Trio, with blues music that harks back to sounds conjured by greats such as Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker.
On Sept. 29 is the Dylan Chambers and Zach Trombly Quintet, a jazz combo with a repertoire that ranges from slower ballads to uptempo bebop and hard bop tunes.
The third event, Oct. 6, features Ben Carr and Josh Maiocco, who bring together the sounds of ukulele and acoustic guitar in a performance of original arrangements in an array of musical genres.
The series wraps up Oct. 13 with singer-songwriter Vinnie DiBernardo.
