Mitchell-Giddings Fine Arts Annex opens in the Brooks House Atrium

BRATTLEBORO — Mitchell-Giddings Fine Arts, a two-year-old gallery showcasing contemporary art in solo and group exhibitions, has expanded.

The gallery founded and operated by Petria Mitchell and Jim Giddings has opened up an annex in the atrium of the Brooks House, according to a news release.

Mitchell said this expansion will enhance MGFA's ability to increase exposure of its artists by offering rotating exhibitions in the new, spacious, and light-filled public venue.

“We will continue in our established location,” Mitchell said in the release, “but now we will also have a continuing presence at the MGFA Annex in the Brooks House Atrium. This expands the visibility of our artists, and we are thrilled to be an integral part of the creative revitalization of downtown Brattleboro through programming and exhibits at Brooks House.”
