BRATTLEBORO — This spring, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital offers three self-management workshops to give individuals new tools to deal with chronic health issues and build fuller, healthier lives. The workshops are free and open to the public.
The first program, Tobacco Cessation Workshop, is for those 18 and older and ready to quit smoking. Your 802Quits Partner will help you get ready to quit with advice and support that works for your needs. Free nicotine replacement therapy is available for Vermont residents. The workshop meets at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon or 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
There will be two additional community workshops offered by BMH with pre-registration required: one at Grace Cottage Hospital, running April 4 through 25, and one at Parks Place, running April 5 through 26. Both run from 5 to 6 p.m. For more information, call 802-251-8456.
The second program, Healthier Living with Diabetes, starts April 21 at Melrose Terrace and runs for six weeks, 2 {1/2} hours each week.
