BRATTLEBORO — Vermont PBS will host a preview screening of the first episode of Downton Abbey, Season 6, at the Latchis Theatre in downtown Brattleboro on Sunday, Dec. 27, at 4 p.m. The show examines the life for gentry and servants in England, spanning 12 years, beginning at the sinking of the Titanic in 1912.
The Latchis event, which is free and open to the public, will premiere the first hour of Episode One, followed by a discussion and audience reaction. Raffles and door prizes will also be included.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in Downton-era attire as they enjoy the camaraderie of fellow Downton Abbey fans.
In addition to the screenings, attendees will hear preliminary plans for Vermont PBS's Downton Abbey farewell event, coming March 6 to Burlington's Flynn Center.
The first of the nine episodes that comprise the series' final season will premiere on Vermont PBS on Sunday, Jan. 3, at 9 p.m.
