SAXTONS RIVER — Main Street Arts has announced its winter schedule of classes, including seven Saturday workshops for those with limited time.
Robert O'Brien will be conducting a watercolor workshop Saturday, Jan. 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., on painting the snowy winter landscape. The fee is $58 for members and $71 for non-members.
Encaustic Collage is the subject of Collin Leech's workshop Saturday, Feb. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m., with a fee of $83 for members and $95 for non-members, including materials.
Felting Slippers and Potato Printing are two workshops offered by Jenny Wright. Felting is Saturday, Jan. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for a fee of $63 for members and $73 for non-members. The printing class will meet Saturday, March 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. The fee is $29 for members and $35 for non-members. Both workshops include materials.
Linda Lacasse will lead a Barn Quilting workshop on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m., to create a quilt design on wood suitable for mounting. The fee is $44 for members and $50 for non-members.
An Introduction to Pinterest led by Sam Maskell will meet Saturday, Feb. 6, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., to learn how to use this social medium to create and manage an account. The fee is $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
Other workshops and classes include a four-session Saturday workshop on Scrapbooking 101 with Gina Cote that will meet Jan. 16 and 30 and Feb. 13 and 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. The fee is $100 for members and $120 for non-members.
Woodcarver Dave Tuttle will teach a class on Carving a House Wren on Tuesdays, March 15 to 29, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The fee is $58 for members and $70 for non-members. It is suitable from age 10 or 11 (with a parent) to adult.
MSA is also offering classes in Yoga for Everyone with Emily Lisai and Spanish in the Morning with Greenough Nowakowski, as well as the ongoing String Band led by Jill Newton.
