WILMINGTON — The deadline for filing petitions with the Town Clerk for articles to be included in the March 3 Annual Town Meeting warning is Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 5 p.m. Petitions for articles must be signed by 5 percent of Wilmington registered voters (79 signatures).
Nominating petitions for town and school offices are available at the Town Clerk's office and at www.wilmingtonvermont.us, and are due by Monday, Jan. 26, at 5 p.m. Nominating petitions must be signed by 1 percent of the registered voters (16 signatures).
The deadline to register to vote in time for the Annual Town Meeting is Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 5 p.m. For information about voter registration, vacant offices, or how to petition, call 802-464-5836 or stop by the Town Clerk's office during regular hours.
Also, 2015 Transfer Station permits are for sale in the Town Administration offices on the second floor or at the Transfer Station.
Dog Licenses and renewals for 2015 are available at the Town Clerk's office. A dog must have had a rabies inoculation not more than 36 months prior to the date of licensing for older dogs, and not more than 12 months for puppies.
