SAXTONS RIVER — I was so pleased to see the Rockingham Free Public Library preservation grant announced in The Commons.
Emily Zervas, who is moving on to become director of the Putney Public Library, has served our library so well as reference and historical collections librarian.
Few people realize all the skills she brought to the RFPL, which she will now take to her new position. In addition to successful grant writing that has dramatically enhanced our historical collection, she has been a wealth of information, a behind-the-scenes manager of myriad library functions, and part of the excellent team that serves our community so well.
I wish her every success and thank her for all her good efforts, the latest being the new grant.
