As for the death penalty, perhaps you haven't noticed all the moratoriums and questions that have arisen over the past 20 years, nor the U.S. Supreme Court's despicable decision in the 1980s that, despite all the facts to the contrary, being black gets you on death row, and being white will get you much less.
