PUTNEY — Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present a twin bill of award-winning contemporary folk singer/songwriters Antje Duvekot and Seth Glier Friday, Jan. 10, at 7:30 p.m.
Duvekot is a German-born, American-raised singer/songwriter lauded by critics for her hard-won wisdom, dark-eyed realism, and street-smart romanticism.
Her bicultural upbringing and relative newness to English have helped shape her unique way with a song. She's taken top honors for songwriting at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, the Kerrville Folk Festival, and the Boston Music Awards.
Glier, a singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and Grammy nominee, is renowned for his fearless vocal delivery, musical exuberance, and seasoned songwriting beyond his years.
USA Today has called Massachusetts-based Glier “a singer with an exquisite tenor, echoing Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel in the piano pop style.”
