SAXTONS RIVER — National Geographic photographer Jon Brack will offer his vision of Haiti in a presentation and dinner Sunday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. at Christ's Church.
The program is jointly sponsored by Main Street Arts (MSA) and Friends of Haiti, with all proceeds evenly divided between children's programming at MSA and the What If? Foundation (WIF), which puts donations toward feeding and educating children in Haiti.
Brack's photographs are the result of his work with Photo Camp Haiti, during which 17 Haitian students affected by the 2010 earthquake learned about self-expression through photography.
The dinner will consist of authentic Haitian food. Haitian artwork will be sold throughout the evening, with proceeds going to the WIF.
Reservations for the dinner are required by Monday, Aug. 27, and can be made by calling MSA at 802-869-2960. Admission is by donation ($15 for adults and $5 for children suggested).
Brack's personal and professional travels have taken him through more than 60 countries on all seven continents, including participation in projects in Indonesia, South Sudan, Chile, Pakistan, Antarctica, and Hawaii.
