• Volunteer visitors needed for Windham Childcare's “It takes a Village” program for new moms and babies. Volunteers make weekly, one-hour visits for 12 weeks. Training given.
• Senior Solutions needs volunteer to help a client organize and sort possessions in preparation for moving to new home. No heavy work involved.
• Brattleboro Area Habitat needs services of an experienced bookkeeper familiar with QuickBooks Online.
• Brattleboro office of Vermont Department of Health needs a part-time office help volunteer.
• Northeast Families in Brattleboro is looking for part-time volunteer to answer office phone and do routine tasks.
• Town of Brattleboro Finance Committee invites inquiries about serving on this important town board. An interest in the subject is necessary, but no special qualifications are required.
• Brattleboro Affordable Housing is looking for a volunteer to interview and process loan applicants. Orientation given.
• Holton Home on Western Avenue, Brattleboro, needs a volunteer to help a gentleman resident with weekly shopping and have some enjoyable conversation.
• Brattleboro Housing Authority/Elliott Street apartments needs someone to distribute grocery deliveries to about 12 apartments every third Tuesday.
• Rockingham Free Public Library needs volunteers for various duties.
• Farming Connections in Guilford, which works with animals to help communications-challenged children, needs volunteers for farm, office, and board work.
• The Austine School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Brattleboro has volunteer openings, including teacher assistant, librarian, events coordinator, crafts instructor, landscaper, and kitchen help.
• Turning Point of Windham County, a resource for people in recovery, welcomes adult mentoring volunteers.
• Brattleboro Senior Meals needs volunteer drivers.
• Hilltop House in Brattleboro, and other senior residences in Windham County, are interested in volunteers who would like to share arts, crafts, reading, or conversation.
