BRATTLEBORO — At its annual meeting on Sept. 28, the Board of Directors of the United Way of Windham County elected four new members: Sharon Dunn Gordon, Pam Matweecha, Michael McKenney, and Anne Weinberg.
“These new members represent diverse professional backgrounds and, together, their skills and expertise will further strengthen United Way's Board of Directors,” said Board Chair Bahman Mahdavi. “We are fortunate to have access to such a talented group of people, especially as we are looking at another difficult year of economic hardship.”
Sharon Dunn Gordon and her husband, Steve Gordon, moved to Brattleboro in March 2011 when he became President of Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. She is a registered nurse with a master's degree in Health Services Administration, and worked as a Director of Surgical Services in the Boston area. Steve and Sharon have four grown children and four grandchildren. She serves as a volunteer RN at the Brattleboro Walk-in Clinic on Belmont Avenue.

Presently, she serves as the Community Banking Manager of Merchants Bank in Brattleboro, and as vice president of the Merchants Bank Foundation, treasurer of the Putney Bike Club, and as a member of the Latchis Corp. board.
Michael McKenney and his wife, Lisa, a teacher at Vernon Elementary School, have lived in the area for 20 years, with the last 14 in Vernon. He has a daughter in Vernon Elementary and a son who attends Brattleboro Area Middle School. He has a background in engineering and business and is currently the Emergency Preparedness Manager at Vermont Yankee. He has previously been a member of the Vernon Selectboard.
Anne Weinberg moved to Brattleboro five years ago with her husband, Adam, and their three children: Margaret, Nathan and Abigail. She brought with her a background in marketing and nonprofit development that she has used to get involved in a variety of Brattleboro activities, most recently on the Development Committee of the Hilltop Montessori School.
Prior to moving to Brattleboro, she had served as Director of Marketing for Ferris Industries and Director of Operations and founding partner of Democracy Matters. She currently serves as Director of Marketing for Oak Meadow School and Curriculum.
